Welcome to Continental Maritime of San Diego (CMSD), a subsidiary of Huntington Ingalls Industries and a certified Master Ship Repair Contractor for the U.S. Navy. Our skilled professionals have performed hundreds of ship repairs for the Navy and Military Sealift Command. CMSD does repair on all classes of surface vessels including but not limited to CVN, CG, and DDG, as well as all types of amphibious ships including LHD, LHA, LSD, LPD, and auxiliary ships. Our work also includes repairs and alterations to a wide range of systems including Combatant, Structural/Hull, Propulsion, Mechanical, Electrical, and Habitation.

Continental Maritime Saves Money & Energy With "Green" Modifications

Two major "green" project modifications have saved San Diego Port tenant, Continental Maritime, a lot of money while preserving the environment. The company was also the first major shipyard to be recognized as a Zero Discharge Facility by the Environmental Protection Agency. The Green Business Network is an integrated energy efficiency and sustainability effort spearheaded by the Port of San Diego and San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E).
