Boilermaker Journeyman / 16-054

Requires a minimum of 7 years’ experience in repair of naval marine boilers. Capable of completing Boilermaker Journeyman testing requirements. Must be physically able to conduct all repairs onboard U.S. Navy ships and pass respirator fit test.

U.S citizenship required.

► The ability to acquire a RAPIDGate credential is required.

 

Boilermaker Tradesman / 16-055

Electrical Journeyman / 16-069

5-7 years’ experience at the Journeyman level. Must have an overall general knowledge of electrical requirements onboard Naval Ships, be able to read schematics and blueprints, accomplish ship alterations with minimal supervision, and troubleshoot/repair various electrical systems on Naval Ships. Maintaining and installing various electrical temp services onboard ships is a plus. Motor repair and weld machine maintenance/repair is also a plus.

U.S citizenship required.

The ability to acquire a RAPIDGate credential is required.

 

Electrical Tradesman / 16-052

3-5 years’ experience and must have an overall general knowledge of electrical requirements onboard Naval Ships. Maintaining and installing various electrical temp services onboard ships is a plus.

Outside Machinist Journeyman / 16-066, 17-007

Requires 10 years’ experience. Job duties include shipboard working on valves, rotating machinery, turbines, hydraulics, elevators, and other mechanical systems. Must be familiar with NAVSEA standard items and proficient with use of drawings, identification of material, shipyard safety, and quality processes.

U.S citizenship required.

 

Outside Machinist Tradesman / 17-008

Requires 3 years’ experience. Job duties include shipboard work on valves, rotating machinery, turbines, hydraulics, elevators, and other mechanical systems.  Must be proficient with use of drawings, identification of material, shipyard safety, and quality processes.

U.S citizenship required.

 

Pipe Welder Tradesman / 17-012

Minimum 2 years Shipboard/shipyard experience, know marine-piping systems, certify to Tig & able to pass welding test requirements.

Pipefitter Journeyman / 17-010

Prepares kit material for jobs based on Bills of Material (BOM) and performs layout work according to blueprints and sketches. The minimum requirements for this position are: 5 years of prior shipboard/shipyard experience as a Pipefitter; demonstrated knowledge of marine piping systems, pipefitting to Navy standards, ship terminology, blueprint reading, and of different metals; basic reading and mathematics skills; and the ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and on any shift.

U.S citizenship required.

 

Pipefitter Tradesman / 17-011

The minimum requirements for this position are: 2 years of prior shipboard/shipyard experience as a Pipefitter; demonstrated knowledge of marine piping systems, pipefitting to Navy standards, ship terminology, blueprint reading, and of different metals; basic reading and mathematics skills and the ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and on any shift; and the ability to obtain Silver Brazing and Firewatch certifications.

Production Welder Journeyman / 16-062

Minimum 5 years’ experience.

►  The ability to acquire a RAPIDGate credential is required.

 

Production Welder Tradesman / 17-004

Minimum 1 year experience.

►  The ability to acquire a RAPIDGate credential is required.

 

Shipfitter Foreman / 17-005

Requires a minimum of 10 years’ supervisory experience in the Navy Ship Repair industry. Must have strong background in 5XXX welding repair; demonstrated experience in use of blueprints, drawings, and other specifications; complete working knowledge of NAVSEA standard items; familiarity with use of Inspection/Deficiency Report creation and management; and familiarity with use of Integrated Management System (IMS).

U.S citizenship required.

 

Shipfitter Leadman / 17-006

Requires a minimum of 6 years’ supervisory experience in the Navy Ship Repair industry. Must have working knowledge in 5XXX welding repair; demonstrated experience in use of blueprints, drawings, and other specifications; complete working knowledge of NAVSEA standard items; familiarity with use of Inspection/Deficiency Report creation and management; and familiarity with use of Integrated Management System (IMS).

U.S citizenship required.

 

Shipfitter Tradesman / 16-064

Minimum 2 years of on the job experience including tacking and fitting of bulkheads, railings, foundations, deck plating, and other structural members, and demonstrated knowledge of blueprint reading, ship terminology and different metals. Good burning, welding and craftsmanship skills. Mechanical ability preferred. Welding certification to tack/weld steel. Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces and to access and move around ship safely is also required.

►   The ability to acquire a RAPIDGate credential is required.

 

Security Officer / 17-013

Position available for a skilled Security Officer with a minimum of 1 – 5 years’ security experience. Responsibilities include access control, facility monitoring, and policy enforcement. The candidate must have excellent, communication, observation, and report writing skills, as well as be physically capable to respond to emergencies. Must have a valid Security Guard card.

Ship Superintendent / 17-003

Defense contractor seeks Ship Superintendents. Looking for applicants with 3-5 years’ experience. Responsible for the successful execution of ship repair packages. Ensure activities are executed in accordance with established specifications, budgets and schedules. Applicant must have the ability to read and interpret work specifications and drawings. Communication and computer skills are required.
